The first works executed for Società Autostrade, Italy’s motorway operator, were the tunnels along the Apennines, particularly in the Potentino area of the country’s longest motorway connecting the north to the south, known as “Autostrada del Sole”.

This happened in the 1950s. Since then, Impresa Luigi Notari has been involved in the works for both the several motorway operators and for ANAS, Italy’s second largest roads and motorways managing authority.

More recently, the company also specialized in the renovation of existing structures (tunnels and viaducts) in Italy and elsewhere (Switzerland) boasting the most important Italian and international motorways managers among its clients.
